House Forty Eight - 2020

Inspired by industrial hardware being translated into fine jewelry. The goal was to design and produce a functional threaded closure out of solid .925 sterling silver.

The closure was then paired with a coordinating handmade chain. The links and closure were hand-hammered to add texture and retain an imperfect quality.

Chain: 4.25mm thick solid 925 sterling silver cable.

Link Dimensions: 18mm w x 29mm H

U-Bolt Dimensions: 21mm W x 28mm H

Process

This collection is completely handmade starting from sterling silver cable. Each link is cut, bent, hammered, and soldered giving them all unique characteristics. The U-Bolt is also formed, soldered, and threaded by hand.
