A heavily sandblasted Douglas Fir base paired with a round glass top. The base combines a sculptural silhouette with the natural texture seen in the cathedral grain structure.
The two legs slot together and a blackened steel finial secures the top to the base.
Materials: Solid Douglas Fir with sandblasted and ebonized finish.
Tempered clear glass.
Blacked steel finial.
Dimensions: 48" Dia. X 30"H
The design process began with hand sketching and quickly moved to CAD in order to refine details, proportions, and construction. Wood finish and detachable (KD) legs were refined during the sampling process.
